Amy is a workaholic whose daughter persuades her to try playing an on-line pirate game. She gets sucked in (shades of Tron) and can’t escape the pseudo-pirate world. She proceeds to turn everything topsy-turvey, much to the confusion of the poor AI characters. Her love interest is an endearing but typical guy. My favorite character is the morbidly-minded kid who tags along with Amy.

There are naval battles, sword fights and explosions. And a lot of piratical silliness.

This is more of a comedic adventure than it is strictly a romance. I wouldn’t have a problem recommending it to men, unless they refuse to read from a female point of view.
